Satine Bloodwood

Satine belongs to the Moraceae family. It is a large tree growing in tropical regions of South America, with a height of about 27-36m and a DBH that can exceed 0.7m. Revered as the "National Wood of Brazil," it is a relatively precious imported timber. The wood has very high density and strength, is heavy, has good stability after drying, and strong corrosion resistance. Sapwood is yellowish-white, heartwood is reddish-brown to strawberry red, the color appearing even more deep red and luxurious, resembling gemstones, hence it's also called "Cardinal Wood" or "Bloodwood." After polishing, it has a satin-like luster, and occasionally pleasing dark brown stripes can be seen. Therefore, wood products made from Satine are characterized by bright, beautiful, and grand colors.
